Ofelia’s Voice Studio (OVS) provides quality contemporary vocal coaching for those who are preparing for an audition, performance, or examination.
OVS caters to intermediate to advanced vocalists preparing or auditioning for tertiary or professional engagements who read music proficiently. Focus is on vocal technique, music theory, and stage presentation.
Lessons are structured to workshop the singers performance repertoire and vocal technique. The duration of a lesson can span from 1.5-2.5 hours. Singers may only require one lesson due the intensive workshop nature of the lessons. Lessons are for individual singers or a vocal act.
The studio is fully equipped with performance and recording equipment.
Ofelia Guizzon BMus is the Studio Manager and Principal Vocal Coach. Performing professionally since 1999 and teaching since 2001, Ofelia utilises her experience and formal education to provide quality contemporary vocal coaching based on a foundation of healthy lifestyle choices.
The student must bring a printed copy of the sheet music and a backing track on a USB Memory Drive of each of their performance pieces for Ofelia to utilise in their lesson. Students are to attend well-hydrated on luke-warm filtered water, having not eaten for at least 90 minutes, and in good health. Students are not to attend lessons when showing any signs of a cold/flu (runny nose, sneazing, coughing, fever, sore throat).
