An innocent animal is enslaved, forcibly impregnated repeatedly and killed so we can consume its flesh, drink its milk, eat its eggs, consume its honey and wear its skin. Their offspring are subjected to the same fate and the cruel cycle repeats. Directly or indirectly contributing to this would have a negative impact on our soul whether we are aware or not. It is the law of attraction, karma, cause and effect.
Animals are at our complete mercy and we are objectifying them like we are savages with no mercy and no compassion. Why? Because humans are superior? Does that give us the right to do what we please to those who are vulnerable? The term Anthropocentrism refers to the belief that human beings are the most significant entity on the planet. Why would we choose to abuse this sense of power?
An animals life and what they produce is not ours to take. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not kill. Yet we have commodified their lives into an industry. The Government provides “employment” to its people that involves inflicting violence and death on our most vulnerable and innocent.
Slaughterhouse Workers Required. Daily tasks include:
- Breaking bones
- Forced inseminations
- Murdering animals using blunt force, boiling, bolt guns, drowning, electrocution, gassing, knives, maceration and skinning
- Permanently removing newly born infants from their mothers
- Producing product that causes worldwide famine
- Producing product that is destroying the planet
- Producing product that is killing our fellow human beings
Risk Factors include:
- Mental Distress – PTSD and desensitization which can lead to alcohol and drug abuse and often domestic violence
- Injuries and long-term physical problems
- Long shifts of physically and mentally strenuous, repetitive work
All tasks are to be conducted on live, innocent animals, most of who are infants. Want a job whose main role is pure evil? Apply NOW!
Is this the vocation you would wish for your child? We employ hundreds of thousands of people in these roles which means our children have grown up and filled those roles. That’s not the life I would want for my offspring.
Many slaughterhouse workers come from low-income neighbourhoods and are often people of colour. Many have no other option but to participate in work that most people would not want to do. It is an industry that is exploiting families with a lower socioeconomic status and does very little to improve on their status. The workers are also victims of this crooked system.
Tough to read isn’t it? But it is the reality. There is no such thing as humane slaughter, nor is there anything humane about Certified Organic Free Range, RSPCA Approved or Grass Fed. There is simply nothing humane about exploitation. No ifs, no buts.
Animal Agriculture, which is the business of producing animals to kill for consumption, has been a silent crime the Government have been getting away with that is being brought to public attention more and more everyday. As people find out about the industry, people are choosing to adopt a vegan lifestyle doing all they practically can to eliminate and reduce the unnecessary suffering of animals for their existence.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Billions (I cannot wrap my head around that number) of animals are slaughtered worldwide every year for consumption killing our health, our Planet and causing worldwide famine. The industry exists because we, the consumer, fund the industry and in the eyes of the law it is legal. In the eyes of any sane person, it is criminal but because of supply and demand, because the silent crimes are so well hidden, because it has become so ingrained into our culture, because it is perceived as normal, the genocide continues. The majority of our population are victims of Carnism – the invisible belief system, or ideology, that conditions people to eat certain animals. Our souls have been desensitized and our behaviours programmed, all without question, all through learnt behaviour.
How do we restore our souls? How do we fix so many of the worlds problems? The solution is Veganism. The solution is choice. The solution is changing bad habits into a good ones. The solution is recognising the problem and living the solution. I assure you, it will be the best decision you ever make.
Carnism – why we wouldn’t eat our dog, but would eat a cow “I look at a cow and see a larger version of my dog, Bronson” (Ofelia Guizzon)
